There has been a recent wave of people that have reported ads popping up on their google browser. This isn't a virus - its adware that is attached to a lot of the free downloads that everyone uses (i.e. Teachers Pay Teachers). The adware attaches to your browser, so it will follow you on whatever device you are on. You can do this from home, or anywhere that you are logged in as your "walpole.k12.ma.us" account.

Follow the steps below and it should take care of it. What its doing is just resetting your browser to the original settings. Your passwords, bookmarks, etc. will remain intact.

Click on the three dot icon at the right top of your screen. If you do have adware on your browser, often this will look different than the three dots. It might be an orange circle, etc. Click on that spot anyway -

From this menu - choose "Settings"

When the settings window opens, scroll all the way to the bottom of that screen and click on Advanced

When you click on Advanced - scroll all the way down to the bottom of that screen and you will see a Reset and Clean Up section, and click on  Restore Settings to Their Original Default

Another window will come up - click on Reset Settings

You will see a blue spinning circle as it resets your browser. Once this stops turning and disappears, you are done. Close your browser and reopen, and the adware will be gone.
