We cannot update the translation language menu found on our school websites to include other languages (see image below.)
Websites are moving away from building in translation tools because Google does it all now! You can either use the Chrome Google Translate Extension or you can use the Google Translate website. The website is probably the easiest method to share.
Translate websites
- In your browser, go to Google Translate.
- Select Websites
- Choose the languages to translate to and from.
- To automatically set the original language of a website, click Detect language.
- In the text box, enter a URL.
- Click the arrow button. This opens a new tab with the translated website.
NOTE: This method will NOT translate the Principal Newsletter on the homepage of the website. The Newsletter has its own Translate button built in (see image below.)
