With the new 6940 IP phones, if you need to TRANSFER a CALL straight to voicemail, you can do that.
1) Answer the incoming call and tell the person you will transfer them directly to the staff members voicemail
2)THEN HIT THE VOICEMAIL BUTTON - circled below - this automatically puts the person on the line on hold. after clicking on the Voicemail Button dial the extension you wish to transfer them to and then hang up the phone.
3) This puts them directly into the person's voicemail message and they can leave a message
